Gerri has been an educator since 1990, including 15 years in the classroom teaching students with and without disabilities. Her career began in Cecil County Public Schools and from there she moved to the Christina School District, where she worked as a teacher and an instructional coach. Gerri joined Red Clay as an Instructional Coach Specialist in 2005 before becoming Manager of Research & Evaluation. She serves on the advisory board at Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center (WestEd). Gerri was instrumental in the original development of Data Service Center’s I-Tracker Pro.
Gerri obtained her doctorate, master and bachelor degrees from the University of Delaware. Gerri's academic interests include collaborative problem solving, cycles of inquiry, data-driven decision making, results coaching, strategic planning and technology integration.
In her free time, Gerri enjoys reading and spending time at the beach with her husband KC, daughter Danielle, and son Sean. She considers herself fortunate to have fulfilled her lifelong dream of being an educator and making a difference in children’s lives.
