  • Principal Announcement - Mrs. Deborah Aston

    The Red Clay Consolidated School District is pleased to announce Deborah Ashton as the new principal of Shortlidge Academy Elementary School. Mrs. Ashton is a veteran teacher with over thirty years of experience. Fourteen of those years have been spent at Shortlidge Academy with her most recently served position as the Assistant Principal for nearly four years. She brings to the principalship her reputation, devotion and knowledge as a skilled instructor. Her deep understanding of how children develop as learners will model the expectation of quality instruction that will move Shortlidge towards achieving the goals set in the Continuous School Improvement Plan. Please join the Red Clay Consolidated School District in congratulating and welcoming Mrs. Ashton in her new role as the Shortlidge Academy Elementary School Principal.

  • MEAL SITES FOR STUDENTS

    Meals will be available to all children under the age of 18. A school bus will be parked at each of the locations to distribute meals. A school bus will be parked at each of the following locations from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays:

  • Christiana Care School-Based Health Center

    The Shortlidge Academy School-Based Health Center (SBHC) is a partnership between Christiana Care and Red Clay Consolidated School District. You are invited to sign up your child at the SBHC. You will not be charged any fees or co-pays. Health care in the SBHC is provided by a Physician or Nurse Practitioner, a Red Clay Consolidated School District RN, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, and a Community Health Care Worker.
