Despite schools being out of session, the Technology Student Association state competition still had some unfinished buildings. Prior to the statewide shutdown of publics schools in mid March, Dickinson TSA students were able to submit some of their projects in early March in preparation for this year's annual contest in Harrington, DE. With a limited number of events, the Rams still came away with some major accolades.
In the Children's Stories contest, juniors Sammy Bufano (illustrator) and Haley Smith (writer) earned 2nd place (pictured with book in the article image). And in the category of 2D Architecture CAD, Dickinson students finished with a clean sweep of the top three places as Smith earned 1st place, junior Rodney Ramirez finished 2nd, and senior Maya Ruiz rounded out the top 3.
Earlier in the year, Bufano and Smith had an opportunity to read their book to students at Heritage Elementary School.
