For the second straight year (and 3 consecutive), Dickinson has a middle school state cross country champion! 8^th grader Lauryn Leech defended her state title from last year, defeating 206 other girls from across the state in a school record of 13:09 for 2.1 miles at Killens Pond State Park in Felton. She had some competition until the final ½ mile, when she proceeded to drop the hammer on two ladies from Cape Henlopen and won by 22 seconds!

Dickinson also brought home 2 additional medals with 7^th grader Peyton Rowe taking 10^th (14:25- #3 on Dickinson top 10) and 8^th grader Tyler White in 7^th (12:32- #3 on Dickinson top 10). The boys placed 6^th of out 30 teams and the girls were 8^th of 28 (our highest place ever).
