As we begin the second year of the 1:1 technology implementation by the Red Clay School District, each student has been issued a Chromebook in the third grade. The Chromebook will be part of every child’s educational program for the remainder of their school years in Red Clay. The third and fourth grade students at Heritage Elementary have been very excited to use their Chromebooks in the classroom. The teachers have been using Schoology with them daily to assign classwork, give quizzes, and conduct research projects. There are various applications and extensions that the children have added to their Chromebooks that help enrich their learning. The computers have become part of their daily education. This technology is allowing the students to become better exposed to computer applications in everyday life.
