Please join the Highlander family in celebrating and congratulating Ms. Shavonne Carter as the Thomas McKean High School Teacher of the Year for 2023.

Ms. Carter teaches Biology and Anatomy & Physiology, serves on the AVID site team, hosts a year-long teaching resident, acts at the Class of 2022 student advisor, among many other things.

Ms. Carter was joined by many other deserving teachers who were nominated.   However, Ms Carter shined brightest among this amazing group of stars.

We wish Ms. Carter the best as she now competes for the Red Clay Consolidated School District Teacher of the Year.
