School messenger 6.6.19 Moving Up ceremonies, etc.
Good evening, this is Mr. Rumford, the principal of Skyline Middle School with a few important announcements.
It’s hard to believe we are in the last days of school now and we are talking about moving up. Our 8th grade move up ceremony will be Monday, June 10th at 9 am. The 8th grade ceremony typically lasts 90 minutes. The 6th and 7th grade moving up ceremonies will be June 11th and 12th respectively. Both start at 9 am and usually last under 1 hour. June 12th is the last student day and has a 12:10 dismissal time. The dress code for each ceremony is the school uniform. Students out of uniform will not be permitted to participate. After each ceremony, only parents or guardians can sign their children out on forms found in alphabetical order on tables found in the main lobby. These students may then go home with the parent or guardian following their ceremony. Students remaining will return to classes until the normal school dismissal time.
Finally, we are in desperate need to restock our uniform closet. Please send in gently used Khaki pants and polo shirts to the main office throughout the summer for needy students next year.
