Maggie Mancini is in her 31st year as a special education teacher in the Red Clay Consolidated School District. During that time she taught elementary school for 17 years and middle school for the past 14 years. Maggie holds a BS in Education from the University of Delaware, a Masters Degree in Exceptional Children from the University of Delaware and earned her initial National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist in 2003 and successfully renewed it in 2013. Maggie believes that as an educator, our role is to provide the supports students need to be successful in the classroom and the world. You need to meet each student where they are and help them gain the skills and knowledge they need in life. It is about empowering your students to want to learn and be successful and giving them the tools to do so.
