Google Slides and SMART Panels
Google Slides are difficult to use on SMART Panels. This is a Google issue, not a SMART Panel or technology office issue. Check out the information below to help you to better use Slides and presentation materials on your SMART Panel.
- Using Slides on the Panel only (not connected computer):
- Writing on the slides → creates a screenshot that is saved under the Whiteboard app. Ink is not saved to the slide.
- Users cannot drag and drop objects on Google Slides in presentation mode. Drag and drop only works in Slides Edit mode or teachers convert Slides to a Notebook file and continue to use the interactive pieces.
- To go to the next slide in presentation mode, swipe to the right or left or tap to reveal the arrows at the bottom corner of the screen and tap the arrows to move between slides.
- Using Slides on the computer/laptop:
- Teachers are able to write on slides (or on anything else on their computer). They must enable SMART Ink.
