Red Clay Consolidated primarily supports the involvement of parents and concerned community members including historically underrepresented groups as active participants in the school improvement process through regularly scheduled monthly meetings of the Red Clay Parent Advisory Council. (RCPAC).   The RCPAC is comprised of at least two parent representatives from each school.  In addition, Red Clay staff, Red Clay board members and members of the Red Clay community serve as members of the RCPAC working cooperatively and collaboratively with parents.  The executive board includes the offices of president, vice-president, and secretary. Sub-committee chairs are appointed on an as-needed basis to implement activities and events suggested by membership.  Each month, the RCPAC meets at schools across the district to provide a regular opportunity for collaboration, training, and information sharing among parents, community members, school board members, and school and district staff.  After each meeting, members are encouraged to share the information with members of the school PTA, PTO and other school support associations and school administrators.

RCPAC members make recommendations and suggest activities in order to promote parent involvement, increase communication and improve Red Clay schools. The RCPAC works cooperatively with the Federal and Regulated Programs Office as a part of Strategic Plan Goal #5 to organize the annual Family Resource Fair in the fall for all school families and the community.  The goal of The Family Resource Fair is to help school families support student achievement by “making education a family project.”  RCCSD personnel and various community agencies provide demonstrations, presentations, resources, exhibits and hands-on activities to educate school families and the general community about the opportunities available in Red Clay schools and the community.
