Thanks to the support of the Red Clay community in the February 2015 operating referendum, the district is set to begin its One-to-One technology initiative, where every student in grades 2 through 12 will have access to their own computer device. Students in grades 2-12 will be provided a Chromebook, a small laptop specifically designed to access the Internet. Chromebooks represent 60 percent of the devices that are deployed in classrooms across the U.S.
All students in grades 4 & 5 are able to take their device and charger home with them to complete homework and other school assignments. Chromebooks are to be charged at home every night and brought back to school each day. 3rd grade students keep their Chromebook and charger in their classroom.
