    Head Lice

Head lice happens!  The best strategy is for parents to do nightly inspections for lice.  Early detection and treatment at home are key.  Mass head checks in school and notification of lice cases are not preformed at school.  If your child is found to have head lice during the school day, he/she will be sent home for treatment either at the time of discovery or at the end of the school day. Children may return to school following treatment.  See the health education section for more information about head lice.
