  • Ed Tech Innovator Conference

    Keynote speaker Kellie Ady, the Director of Instructional Strategy at Schoology, talked about personalized learning. Ady referenced the model championed by noted educator Carol Ann Tomlinson which focuses on differentiation in education.

    Exposure to careers in middle school helps students learn about different professions and gain an understanding of what real-world work is like.

  • AVID College & Career Fair at Stanton

    More than 15 vendors were in attendance to provide resources for the students. Vendors included but were not limited to: Jewish Family Services – FutureLink, Latin American Community Center, Del Tech STEM UP, Mill Creek Fire Department, North Carolina A&T University and Fraim Boys and Girls Club.

    Close to 15 organizations from the community, in addition to two Red Clay high school clubs, participated in this year’s expanded fair.
