#YayRedClay: Red Clay Nurse Goes Above and Beyond to Help Student
Kudos to Nicole Ewing, MSN, RN, NCSN, of Linden Hill Elementary School, who recently helped a family to identify and resolve their student's hearing concern. "Even our primary care physician could not identify the hearing issue that our daughter had," the family said. "Thanks to Ms. Ewing's early identification of the concern, we were able to easily follow up with our ENT and get the issue fixed. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated nurse in our school!”
Thank you to all of our dedicated school nurses who ensure that student-based health screening programs are in place to promote optimal student health in all Red Clay schools. School nurses provide vision and hearing screenings for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 10. They also provide postural/gait screenings for students in grades 5 through 9.
