Reimbursement

The State of Delaware offers reimbursement to full-time employees who work in areas where there are critical staffing shortages. Through the Critical Need Reimbursement Program, employees who teach on an emergency certificate can be reimbursed for completing the coursework needed to achieve a standard certificate.

Student Loan Repayments

Through the State of Delaware's High Needs Educator Student Loan Payment Program, educators may be eligible for student loan repayments if serve high-needs schools or work in certification areas where there are critical staffing shortages.

Loan Forgiveness

The Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program offers loan forgiveness for educators who teach full time for five consecutive, complete academic years in certain elementary and secondary schools that serve low-income families.
